Nu Leafe Alpaca is a small huacaya alpaca herd located in Vermont and owned by Michele
Cota.
When she set out on her "alpaca adventure", Michele envisioned a herd of alpacas that could satisfy her
desire to farm on a small scale as well as to augment her current income. Nu Leafe
Alpaca began with the careful
selection of four foundation breeding females. Over a period of several years, the herd has grown to include six breeding
females and a herdsire.
Michele is committed to the advancement of the Nu Leafe breeding program and thoughtfully assesses each new generation
in relation to her personal vision of the "ideal alpaca". And with each generation, Michele can clearly see the results of that
commitment.
The Nu Leafe herd is boarded at
Snowshoe Farm in Peacham, Vermont. For more information about the Nu Leafe herd, please
